The Havering People's Revolutionary Party (HPRP), formerly the Havering Revolutionary-Socialist Party and also known as the Havering Independence Party, is an unregistered Havering nationalist, secessionist and revolutionary socialist party that seeks to form an "Independent Republic of Havering". The party, which was founded in 2022 by Thomas Bricks who leads the party, currently has no elected representatives.

History

The Havering Revolutionary-Socialist Party was founded by Thomas Bricks in August 2022. It was renamed Havering People's Revolutionary Party in December 2022.

Policies

The HPRP seeks to establish an "Independent Republic of Havering" from the London Borough of Havering. It also lays claim to the historical Essex county districts of Dagenham, Romford and Hornchurch. The party also claims to be revolutionary socialist, though the party does not yet seek a violent revolution, and reports to be inspired by Marxism. The party supports other global secessionist movements and envisions the inclusion of Havering in a confederation with other Greater London boroughs. Furthermore, it also supports the expansion of Greater London. The party is socially progressive with a hard-line progressive approach to LGBT rights, racial relations and social justice. With regards to constitutional matters, the party supports a dominant-party presidential republican system of governance for Havering.

National Revolutionary Front

The National Revolutionary Front for the Liberation of Havering is a popular front led by the Havering People's Revolutionary Party. It consists of the following organisations:

  • National Revolutionary Youth of Havering - Youth wing
  • General Association of Havering Labour - Trade union
  • Havering Religious Union - Joint religious body
  • Havering Friendship Association - International pro-HPRP association
