The Unitarian State of St Martin is a country in the northeast Caribbean Sea, approximately 300 km (190 mi) east of Puerto Rico. The 87 square kilometres (34 sq mi) island declared independence from the Kingdom of the Netherlands following unilateral declaration of independence on 17 March 2029.

The island's traditional pre-colonial name is Oualichi which means "the island of women" or Soualiga, land of salt. This name was given to the island by native Arawak tribes.

The country's largest city and administrative is Great Bay, formerly named Phillipsburg. The capital was renamed following a coup d'etat by the St. Martin Unity and Strength Party on 19 October 2030, spearheaded by a young Member of Parliament Hurts who now rules the nation as President.
