After it's release, the game experienced several controversies.
A controversial part of the game was code that was supposedly hidden by an unpersoned Paradox employee (According to the Corporation) which resulted in an overriding of space-time continuium and laws of physics, creating a black hole within the location where HOI10 was launched. An estimated 1.5 billion, or 0.3% of Earth's population, was sent through these holes. Several law suits from the Black Holed people were launched against Paradox, however due to the "Stop bad things :(" bill having a hidden clause saying that companies are untouchable divine entities, they could not. Several prominent figures, including the sitting US President, were sent through the hole. However, due to most HOI players not having jobs or friends/family, little effect was felt on society. The black holes collapsed after the HOI11 release on the 6th June 2029, although a few did not.

=== Anti-Türkish Allegations ===
Allegations towards paradox of being "Anti-Türkish" were levvied due to the game's refusal to aknowledge the sovereignty of Türkiye over Kurdistan. This resulted in the game being boycotted and eventually banned from Türkiye by God-President Erdoğan, however Paradox insisted it did not mean to insult Türkiye, saying "Due to the contentless nature of the game, no nations appeared at all." Update 5.53.30 "Atatürk" added a HD quality map of Türkiye on the non-functioning menu of the game, making sure to include the name of every village in Türkiye so no territory was left out.

Hearts of Iron X, also known as HOI10, is a grand strategy computer wargame developed by the Paradox Development Corps and published by Paradox Imperial. It was released worldwide on 6 June 2028. It is the sequel to 2027's Hearts of Iron IX and the tenth main installment in the Hearts of Iron series. It lacked any gameplay features beyond the main menu until the DLC "Creating a game or dishonour" was released on the 5th June 2029, and was infamous for creating a black hole inside the home of anyone who launched it after it was launched commercially until HOIXI's release on the 6th June 2029. It also recieved critisism from straying far from the HOI storyline. It sold 20 billion copies worldwide.

Etymology[edit | edit source]

"Hearts of Iron X" is believe to have originated from the old English term "Heardes of pían", meaning "Truffles of Parasite". This is believe to be used as Truffles are valuable things, as are troops in the older games that involved content, whereas they are also parasites as they used all the player's resources to maintain.

Gameplay[edit | edit source]

Hearts of Iron X was one of many of the "Contentless Games" of the late 2020s, in which games launched without content and promised to release more as DLCs. However HOI10 never recieved this content, as a gamebreaking "bug" caused a rift in space time to be created.

Controversies[edit | edit source]

After it's release, the game experienced several controversies.

Black hole controversy[edit | edit source]

The black holes collapsed after the HOI11 release on the 6th June 2029, freeing those who purchased HOI11, although a few did not collapse.

Anti-Türkish Allegations[edit | edit source]
