The French War, also know as French War of National Resistance and Pacification of France is a war between French loyalists of the Commonwealth (of England, Scotland, Ireland and France) and French separatists. France has been part of the Commonwealth (then Kingdom of England) since the year 1429, when the armies of the Kingdom of France where defeated and the English crown took control of the country. Since the very same year, disorganized resistance started to appear to restore the independence of France, a movement which has been going on to this day. It is the longest conflict in history, spanning more than 500 years.
